Jay Jays Website Golden Rules

These are the ten golden rules which apply to you when you're using the Jay Jays website at www.jayjays.com.au

1.Be safe!

Don't give away your personal information in the Playground or post it on the website. Keep to yourself information like your name, date of birth, email address, home address or any other information which could be used to identify you. Keep your login details secret.

2.Be original!

The website is for posting material which you've written or created yourself. So, no copying other people's work and using it yourself. Copying is so boring.

3.Be nice!

You must not do anything on the website which breaches the law. If Jay Jays gets in legal trouble because of your actions on the site you may hear from our lawyers, and that is definitely not good. You will have to pay back Jay Jays for the cost of sorting out the mess.

4.Don't copy our stuff, unless we say you can!

We want you to have fun creating your Jayvatar, copying it, posting it on Facebook, and generally sharing it with friends. However, Jay Jays holds the rights to any content that appears on the website, including your Jayvatar, because Jay Jays has spent a lot of time, money and brain power creating this website and developing the Jay Jays brand. The text, images, trade marks, layout, designs and software associated with the website belong to Jay Jays (or we got permission from someone else to use it), and you can't copy that stuff.

5.Viruses and other things that wreck your day...

Jay Jays provides the website 'as is', and there are no guarantees that it is free from viruses, or other problems, or that the website won't ever crash (although of course we hope it always runs like a dream). It is your responsibility to protect your computer from harm when you're using the website and the internet.

6.Rule-breakers and losers

If Jay Jays decides you are breaking these rules, hassling other people's Jayvatars, or doing something on the website which Jay Jays doesn't like, Jay Jays can remove your material, or dump you and your Jayvatar from the website.

7.HQ

The promoter of the website is Jay Jays Trademark Pty Ltd (ABN 98 004 981 748) of Just Jeans Building, 658 Church Street, Richmond, Victoria, Australia 3121.

8.Laws

These rules are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. You agree that the courts in Victoria have the right to sort out any dispute about the website which arises between you and Jay Jays.

9.Privacy

Privacy Statement

The first time you login to the website and create a profile, you will be asked to provide your email address, your full name, date of birth and the country (and state) where you live. The personal information you provide to Jay Jays will be used for the purpose of:

a. Enabling Jay Jays to record your profile;
b. Enabling you to post material on the website and interact with your Jayvatar;
c. Sending you information about Jay Jays if you agree to receive this information.

If you do not provide the personal information requested by Jay Jays you will not be able to create a profile, build a Jayvatar or post material on the website. Jay Jays may disclose your personal information to organisations which help Jay Jays maintain the website and may use and disclose your personal information if required or authorised by the law.
